In 2013 he joined Valbridge Property Advisors | Paramount Appraisal Group in order to become a Certified General Appraiser. During his time with Valbridge, he obtained over 6,000 hours of field work, successfully valued over $350 million worth of commercial properties, inspected over 200 properties and attended and completed 300 hours of Appraisal Institute course work necessary to become certified and proficient in his field. In May of 2017, Doug Godwin started Godwin Property Solutions and joined Elmore Realty & Builders as a real estate broker. His background in finance, banking, appraisals, and brokerage makes him uniquely qualified, as he has first-hand knowledge and experience in this sector of the economy.
Doug Godwin graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance. After graduation he began his career in banking in 2007 and quickly worked his way to Banking Officer as a commercial lender with New Century Bank in Dunn, NC. In 2011, he transitioned from commercial lending to Credit Administration as part of the banks newly developed appraisal department where he completed residential/commercial evaluations for the purposes of asset valuation protection and loan decisions.
